Hancock Vehicle Accident Leaves Over 4000 Without Power

A vehicle spun out of control and took out a utility pole this morning in the town of Hancock, creating service interruptions and power outages for over 4000 Emera Maine customers.

Emera Maine issued a press release at 9:16 this morning.  Their crews are currently working to replace the broken pole.

Roads are very slippery this morning and numerous vehicles have been reported off the road, including an SUV from California that ended up on it's side against a utility pole off Route 1A in Dedham.
