Tonight’s mystery artists are just one of many artists to re-record a Bob Dylan hit written for a feature film back in 1973. Can you guess the song or band???

Well, if you guessed the song to be ‘Knocking On Heaven’s Door’ you half way there. It was written for the 1973 film ‘Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid’ and it reached #12 on the Billboard chart for Bob Dylan.   Since that time it has been covered by Eric Clapton, the Grateful Dead, Warren Zevon, U2 and a host of others but few as successfully as tonight’s mystery artists Guns and Roses.  Their rendition of the song reached #2 on the UK, #12 in Australia and #1 in Ireland. It was also featured on the soundtrack to ‘Days of Thunder’
