Tonight’s mystery artist’s mother wrote a book about his drug use and the role of prescription drugs in his down fall to help other parents of addicts. Can you guess who her son might be or the band he played with??

I found this in an unusual place for the news of Rock and Roll, The Wall Street Journal. WSJ reporter Shelby Holiday sits with the author of a recently released book titled ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ and it details the ups and downs of Steve Adler during his time with and release from Guns And Roses. His mom Deanna Adler is very candid about the contents and how being let go from the band really rocked Steve’s world. He is currently clean and sober and according to his mom doing well. Steve has done a few guest appearances with G&R but Frank Ferrer is the band current regular drummer. Here is Steve with the band in their heyday with tonight’s featured song:
