Tonight’s mystery artist in his youth played trumpet in the band at Northeastern University. Think you know who he might be or the band he went on to found??

Well, here is a hint he switched from trumpet to guitar and was a fan of folk music. He also happens to have lived much of his life in Groton Massachusetts where every December 1st they celebrate J. Geils Day.  While at the university two things happened. 1) He became a huge fan of folk music and 2) he met Danny Klein and Richard Salwitz better known as ‘Magic Dick’ and formed the J. Geils Band. This was back in 1967 and at that time they were an acoustic trio with himself on lead vocals and guitar. The next year the band would shift to Rock and Roll  with the addition of Peter Wolf and Stephen  Jo Bladd.

Here they are with tonight's featured song.
