I-95 Drive Home Mystery Artist [VIDEO]

Tonight’s featured artists had been touring in Holland where hashish was legal so of course they stocked up with more than they could smoke. Story tells, it was too good to throw away so they kept it unfortunately they were pulled out of line at the airport in Germany on suspicion of drug possession so one band member decided to eat the chunk they had with them and so he did.  Any idea who he might be or the band he plays with??

We’ll start with our brave ingestor, a guy by the name of Ron Blair. Ron is a guitar player for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. In the documentary ‘Running Down A Dream’ Tom tells of how the airport security in Germany found a Hash pipe that had obviously been used so the whole band was pulled out of line and searched. At one point he looked over at Ron and saw him chewing slowly and his teeth were all black.  By the time they were released and taken to their limo Ron’s eyes were glazed over and Tom asked “did you swallow it??” and Ron just nodded.  They were taken to the show in Germany and played for about 40 minutes.  Petty chuckles that Ron played like a champ but if you look at the tape you can see he looks a bit glassy eyed.
