Tonight’s  mystery artists had members that rode with the Hell’s Angels back in the 1960's. Think you can guess who these tough guys are??

In a story in Rolling Stone Magazine what seemed like an odd pairing now was then the Hell's Angels and the Doobie Brothers band. The story told by original guitarist Tom Johnston was that the San Jose chapter of the biker group would often show up at their gigs saying:

“They used to ride their bikes up the steps and in through the front door, bombed outta their minds and swinging whips. They’d park in the living room; it was standard procedure.”

The article goes on to tell how  Johnston would go so far as to ride with the gang, and in 1969 have Hell's Angels jackets made for himself and band member John Hartman the Doobie’s drummer.

Here they are with tonight's featured song.
