Tonight’s mystery artist credited himself on European TV back in the 70’s for changing the way record companies paid musicians moving them into a more equitable split.  Think you know who thinks he started a revolution??

The TV show was called ‘Beat Club Workshop’ and a very cocky Steve Miller tells how he set the record companies straight that if they were going to profit off his music then so was he.  In his words he say he made it clear that he knew how much money they stood to make and he was going to get his fair share.  This was lesson learned from the school of hard knocks when at 19 years old he signed a contract to play on a tour where everyone made money except the musicians.

Here's Steve with tonight's featured song.

Here is the interview with a very young and self assured Steve Miller.
