Tonight’s mystery artist says he doesn’t like being interviewed. He said he’s been interviewed for 40 years and frankly he just isn’t that interesting. Think you know who this humble guy might be?

This attitude comes from a 2017 interview between Jane Paulie and John Mellencamp for Sunday Morning. In addition to not liking interviews he tells Jane that he is committed to learning something or making something every day and if he doesn't he feels guilty. A chain smoker, who has been smoking since he was 10 years old, he contends that although smoking and drinking together will kill you just smoking is OK. He said he also likes the way his voice now sounds more like Louis Armstrong. Funny.
