Tonight’s mystery artist’s admits that it was a shooting at the college he was attending that made him decide to pursue music instead.  Think you know who the shell shocked individual was??

This fact comes from a 2012 San Diego Tribune interview via Rhino. The 1970 shooting was at Kent State University in Ohio upon a group of students who were protesting the war in Vietnam.  As a result 4 students were killed and 9 were injured and the student so affected by the tragedy was a young Joe Walsh. He told The Tribune that after the violence he “didn’t look at college the same” Joe went on to tell how the shootings made him decide he didn’t need a degree that badly.  Regardless Kent State would later give Joe Walsh an honorary degree in 2001.

Here he is with tonight's featured song.
