Tonight’s mystery artists were getting trashed so hard by reviewers they stopped sending out advanced copies of their records.  Think you know who were getting such harsh reviews??

I found this amazing fact on Song Facts about the band Styx.  Regardless of their amazing success there was a time according to the site that every release got a good flogging by critics to the point the band issued this statement as to their intention not to send out any further advanced copies:

"The band doesn't enjoy being torn apart in print and we're not going to help them do it."
