Maine Forest Ranger Films Inquisitive Black Bear [VIDEO]
Looks like this guy was in search of a picnic basket, but instead came face to face with "Mr. Ranger Sir."
Check out this video filmed yesterday by a Maine State Forest Ranger in Aroostook County. It shows a very large black bear emerging from the woods.
Yogi immediately takes notice of Ranger Carson Hartman somewhere in the woods in his truck and pretty much immediately figures out that there's no free lunch there. Watch as he boogies across the road and then quickly runs across a very dusty potato field and back into the woods.
Maine Black Bears will grow as much as 550 lbs. and can run as fast as 30 MPH, so they're nothing to be messed with.
Black bears will typically not interact with a human beings, however, it's a very good idea to leave them alone. Mama bears are known to be very protective of their young and could charge and attack.
