
Maine Wardens Offer Reward For Information Leading To The Person Who Shot An Eagle
The Maine Warden Service posted on Saturday October 21st that on the 13th they had found a wounded eagle near Baxter State Park on Whitehorse Road. WABI TV reported, the eagle was badly hurt and appeared to be young. The bird was rescued but the injuries were too severe and eventually it had to be put down. Wardens guestimate the shooting occurred sometime between the 11 and the 13th. The Warden service is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
