Maine’s Lee Nelson Lucky After Tree Destroys Just His Car in Storm
Lee is so lucky that he and his wife weren't in the car.
That storm Friday with the wind and rain was devastating. At one point, a quarter of the state had no power. There was flooding, trees down and yes, property destroyed. Lee Nelson had his car in Poland when a tree came crashing down on it. He knows it's pretty lousy that his car was crushed, but is also beyond thankful just days before Christmas that he and his wife Cindy Williams weren't in the car. They certainly could have been.
Lee posted these pictures on his Facebook page saying that if they had been in the car, they wouldn't be here.
Once the damage was done, it was time to get that damn tree off this once-gorgeous Audi. You might remember this car from happy times when Lee Nelson started his modeling career after retiring from News Center Maine. Lee loved this car.
Guys and their cars. They sure do love them. But I know they enjoy living even more. So off the tree went with some serious tree removal.
That was a storm that had us all saying, 'Imagine if that was snow.' That wind-rain crap was a So'Easter. Yeah, I had never heard of that before either. So whether it's a Nor'Easter or So'Easter, they both are a royal pain the Audi. I'm glad Lee and Cindy are okay. I hope you faired okay in that storm just days before Christmas of 2022.
