‘Major Spring Snowstorm’ To Dump Over A Foot Of Snow Over Maine
Forecasters are calling for a "Major spring snowstorm" Thursday into Friday.
The National Weather Service has updated their forecast for what they're now calling a "major spring snowstorm" Thursday into Friday. Forecasters are calling for 8-12 inches of snow for the Bangor area, with lesser amounts near the coast, where snow is expected to mix with rain. Higher accumulations are expected further north, where snow may fall heavy at times. Central and northern areas could see as much as 18 inches of snow pile up.
In addition to the snow, strong winds are expected, resulting in some power outages. Coastal flooding is expected in Washington and Hancock counties.
