Milford Residents On Alert As Burglaries On the Rise
The Milford Maine Neighborhood Watch private Facebook group has shared multiple accounts of robberies in recent weeks, involving stories trying to get into cars and lots of night cam shots.
The Town of Milford shared a Facebook post yesterday addressing these issues
The post asks everyone to be safe during a string of thefts:
With the recent string of thefts in the area, the Town encourages everyone to keep their vehicles, sheds, garages, etc. locked. If you see anything suspicious, report it to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office immediately. The Sheriffs have been working diligently on this and will continue to do so. Be safe everyone.
Last week, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office put out a media release on August 13th about a robbery in Milford, specifically a robbery involving a female who had called 911 after being robbed.

Today around 10:03AM., Penobscot County Regional Communication Center received a 911 call from a female reportingshe had been robbed on Water Street in Milford.Deputies responded to Water Street and when they arrived, they learned that two other individuals had fled the scene. Deputies were assisted by the Maine State Police, Old Town Police, Maine Warden Service, Forestry Service, Marine Patrol, Old Town Fire and Milford Fire.
All parties involved have been located and there is no threat to the public. Penobscot County Detectives are currently investigating this incident. At this time, no other information is available.
