Can I Learn How To Pop A Wheelie At Bangor’s New Motorcycle School?
***No. They will under no circumstances teach you how to do a wheelie.***
When I was a kid, this is what riding a motorcycle was all about. Every kid I know wanted some version of Knight Rider, but a motorcycle. Ok, there was Street Hawk, but that show didn't last very long and was actually somehow even cheesier than Knight Rider, but that's not the point.
The real point is, when were kids, motorcycles were the epitome of cool. So, as we progress into adulthood, sometimes it's a bit jarring to realize that there are rules and safety precautions to what look like wildly free activities. But it's still true that riding a motorcycle still looks cool AF. And now Bangor is getting a new motorcycle school to help get you legal to ride the roads.
Hey... I'm just asking what most adults wish they could...
I didn't even check on that fact with the Bangor Area Motorcycle School. Again, this is just what I want to believe. But the reality is, if you've never really ridden a bike much, you're not gonna be popping wheelies anyway. Maybe those sneakers with the wheels in them, but not on a motorcycle. But, you will learn everything you need to be a safe rider, according to WABI.
You'll be able to get your training done in two days, and classes will be held 6 days a week. It's a combination of classroom time and hands-on training. It's only $400, and even cheaper if you pay cash. If you're in the military and looking to add "motorcycle" to your vehicular resume, there's a discount for you too.
I'm not going to lie, I wish I had the guts to ride a motorcycle. But I just don't. It looks like a blast, but I am deathly afraid of death, and I'm not what I would describe as coordinated. I barely like to drive half the time. But man... sometimes I just wish I could suck it up and hop a loud bike and ride back roads.
