It's not "A Boy Named Sue" but in this case, it's a "Girl Named Todd!"

This week's "Pet of the week" from the Hancock County SPCA is a 6-mont old female cat named Todd.

Annie Chalmers, Medical Technician at the SPCA of Hancock County, says that there's more to Todd than meets the eye!

"Her orange tiger markings tend to draw the eye of onlookers, but her relaxed attitude isn’t what people want right now. Todd is a beautiful shorthaired girl with green eyes. She can be a bit reserved with new visitors, but with a few encouraging pets, she comes right out for some love."

Chalmers says that Todd, through no fault of her own, has had some stiff competition for the attention of folks in the market to adopt.

"Todd came into our care in early December and has been living behind the glow of any kittens we've had. She would love a warm lap to call her own, and a forever home to keep her. Todd was abandoned by her owners, but she isn't holding any grudges. Todd gets along with other cats. The shelter staff thinks she would do fine with a dog if it was laid back and not pushy."

So won't you consider giving this sweet little kitty, with an unusual name, a chance?
