Rte. 3 Reconstruction In Bar Harbor To Cease Until Tuesday

The contractor and workers within the two year project will end operations at the end of today, and then resume on Columbus Day.  By the way, here's what they'll be working on beginning next week!

• Milling and grading roadway from the Bluffs to the Acadia National Park entrance
• Installing catch basin frames and grates from Crooked Road to the Acadia National Park entrance
• Surface paving from Eagle Lake Road to Duck Brook

The completion of the project is getting ever so close, the spring of 2019!  The one-way detour out of Bar Harbor utilizing the Park Loop Road within Acadia National Park continues.  Please be aware of the road signs, hikers, bikers, animals, and especially the speed limit as you drive on the Park Loop Road and off the island.
