The 2019 Common Ground Country Fair Poster

You may have already seen this, but we don't care, because we love cows!

The Maine Organic Farm and Gardeners Association recently presented the poster for this year's Common Ground Country Fair, and it features a couple of beauties!

The poster created by Kevin Winter of Vinalhaven features two Dexter heifers.  No, they're not from Dexter but of the Dexter Cattle breed.   Dexter cattle grow to only about 40 inches high, making them a strong, stocky animal that can pull just about anything on a farmstead.

These two lovely ladies are wearing a red and crimson flower arrangement for the fair, and if you notice, a bee flying off to the right is very interested in what is going on.  The poster is now available for $10.

The 43rd annual Common Ground Country Fair in Unity will happen the third weekend of September following Labor Day, and it's certainly Maine's most attended agricultural event of the year.
