Warmer Weather Is Here! Let’s Eat Fresh From A Local Farmers Market

Whenever the weather warms my mind turns to gardening. I love flowers and vegetables but I find in my small shady yard not many veggies like to grow and those that do I find I can't eat as many as they want to produce.  Add to that I am not really the canning type.  So how do I get my freshest spring and summer produce? Why Farmer's Markets of course.

Most of these Farmers Markets open up in early May so needless to say they are ready and waiting to feed you the finest local produce right now. Thanks to the Maine Federation of Farmers Markets I know all my choices and the hours and days they are available.  Most Farmers Markets also take EBT cards which I think is great for Maine kids and families.
