Any way you look at it, today is a good day!

It's National Pizza Day, one of our favorite days of the year!  Yup, yup, yummy.

Did you know that the average American eats an average of 23 pounds of pizza per year?  After watching your brother-in-law at the dinner table, it's not hard to believe at all, is it?  What is hard to believe is that 3% of Americans don't like pizza.  Are they even Americans?

17% of all restaurants across the United States are pizzerias, and we're willing to bet that Dave Portnoy, the Barstool pizza review guy, has been to most of them.

A recent survey has found that thin crust is now our favorite pie, followed up by regular and then deep-dish.  Most of us consider our favorite toppings to be pepperoni, sausage and mushroom, and we absolutely despise anchovies, eggplants and artichokes.

So today after work some of us will celebrate National Pizza Day by stopping by our favorite pizzeria in eastern Maine.  Some of us won't, but those are the folks who like frozen fish sticks.

So the poll question of the day is, "Where is the best pizza in eastern Maine?"  The last time we did this Tri City Pizza off Broadway in Bangor came in #1.  Does that still hold true?

By the way, we didn't just come up with these business names out of the blue. Once again we relied on both Yelp and Trip Adviser to come up with the most popular pizzeria names in the eastern Maine area.
So, belly up, and take our poll!
