I really think it helps a little to go back before we go forward. Because believe it or not these stories do follow a narrative from the past films and have more depth than Fast cars and mini skirts.
This movie F&F6 follows Fast 5, when Dominic (Vin Diesel) is freed from a bus taking him to prison, and ends with DSS Agant Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) arriving on the scene. Hobbs executes the bad guy Reyes. Hobbs then refuses to let Dominic’s sister Mia and Brian go free, but unwilling to arrest the team,(They saved his life once) agrees to give them a 24-hour head start to escape. The gang split Reyes’ money, and as the movie ends Hobbs is given a special file by Agent Monica Fuentes concerning the hijacking of a military convoy in Berlin. In the file, Hobbs discovers a recent photo of (Dominic’s girl) Letty, who was presumed deceased, revealing she survived the events of Fast & Furious. And the story continues……today in Fast and Furious 6.

Plot: Following their successful Rio heist, Dominic Toretto and his crew of professional criminals have retired around the world: Dominic lives with Elena; his sister Mia and Brian O’Conner have had a son, Jack; Gisele and Han have moved to Hong Kong; and Roman and Tej live in luxury.
Hobbs tracks down Dominic and requests his help in bringing Shaw down; Dominic agrees when Hobbs presents him with a photo of Dominic’s former girlfriend Letty Ortiz, whom he thought was dead. Dominic gathers his crew together and they accept the mission in exchange for full amnesty for their past crimes, which will allow them to return home to the United States.
I have seen most of the Fast & Furious series and not that they ever disappoint for sassy cars and short skirts that really isn’t the sum of their parts. As they have progressed the plots have become more involved and the characters more developed to what is now a fairly complex story. Which by the way would be more coherent for you if you see the other movies first or at least Fast 5.
This installment is action packed and adrenaline pumping. Perfect for guys and have no fear ladies the Rock still makes nice eye candy. the cars are great, the chase scenes obscene and the crashes crazy like a Fast and Furious should be. The story is consistent and doesn’t have any glaring holes. The only down side if there is one is a runway that seems to go on for 100 miles and the fact that Vin Diesel has a delivery all his own that is a bit of a stretch to call acting, but when i see what he gets paid to do that versus me this…I’ll just keep my mouth shut.
1 to 10 for action it is a 10, for story and plot I’d give it and 8 and cinematically the locations are breathtaking. If I were you I’d go and take your girl.
