Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Last night I grabbed my snowboard and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Point Break'.

This is an action, crime, sport film that runs just under 2 hours. This movie is rated PG-13 for violence, thematic material involving perilous activity, some sexuality, language and drug material stars Édgar Ramírez, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Delroy Lindo, Ray Winstone

Summary:

An ex-extreme athlete becomes an FBI agent and uses his special skills to infiltrate an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists. "Point Break" is based loosely on the classic 1991 hit.

Review:

Let me repeat that this film is based loosely and add recognizably on the 1991 film starring Keanu Reeves. What this film does is take a recognizable idea like taking money and having fun and turns it into some kind of a religious experience that is so far-fetched and unrealistic it is just plain dumb. So obviously just an overblown YouTube video of unarguably amazing feats the only thing that wrecks the experience is the stupid story they use to try and tie it all together and have it make sense. It doesn’t. .So on a scale of 1-10 I am giving ‘Point Break’ an 4.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
