24th Annual Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive This Saturday
You may have taken notice of a yellow donation bag that was left in your mailbox. Use it this Saturday, and you'll be helping out others less fortunate than you!
This Saturday, May 14th, marks the 24th Annual Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive! Hundreds of folks who work for the U.S. Postal Service in our area will be collecting donated food that's left in these yellow bags. Just sit them out by your mailbox!
Last year's drive collected over 71 million pounds of donated food!
The goal of the food drive is to "restock community food banks, pantries and shelters for needy families throughout the summer.”
If you didn't receive a yellow bag from the Postal Service, then you can use any bag to put your non-perishable food donations in. If for some reason your bag isn't picked up this Saturday, then put it back out for Monday.
