Disturbing Incident Involving 13-Year-Old Boy In Wilton Trailer Park Leads To 5 Arrests
The Wilton Police Department says 5 people have been arrested, 4 of them minors, in connection with a disturbing incident that took place earlier this week involving a 13-year-old boy held against his will at a local trailer park.
"On August 17, 2024, the Wilton Police Department received a complaint involving 8 juveniles and 1 adult in which serious crimes were committed against a 13-year-old male the night prior while visiting a residence in the Wilton Mobile Home Park. Wilton Police Department investigators received information from the victim and other witnesses that the 13-year-old male was assaulted with a weapon, threatened with a weapon, held inside a camper with no ability to leave, and the property was forcibly taken from the victim."
Authorities were able to recover the victim's belongings when they executed a search warrant on the property.
Along with a 23-year-old Farmington man named Ty Looney, several other individuals were taken into custody regarding the case.
"Wilton Police Department investigators have arrested and transported 4 juvenile suspects to Long Creek Youth Development Center. These suspects included a 12-year-old from Wilton, a 14-year-old from Wilton, a 15-year-old from Wilton, and a 16-year-old from Farmington."
Authorities say that along with the very lengthy list of charges these juveniles face from this recent arrest, they are all known to have a long list of prior charges as well, both from within and outside of Franklin County.
