The Wilton Police Department says 5 people have been arrested, 4 of them minors, in connection with a disturbing incident that took place earlier this week involving a 13-year-old boy held against his will at a local trailer park.

"On August 17, 2024, the Wilton Police Department received a complaint involving 8 juveniles and 1 adult in which serious crimes were committed against a 13-year-old male the night prior while visiting a residence in the Wilton Mobile Home Park. Wilton Police Department investigators received information from the victim and other witnesses that the 13-year-old male was assaulted with a weapon, threatened with a weapon, held inside a camper with no ability to leave, and the property was forcibly taken from the victim."

Authorities were able to recover the victim's belongings when they executed a search warrant on the property.

"Wilton Police Department investigators have arrested and transported 4 juvenile suspects to Long Creek Youth Development Center. These suspects included a 12-year-old from Wilton, a 14-year-old from Wilton, a 15-year-old from Wilton, and a 16-year-old from Farmington."

Authorities say that along with the very lengthy list of charges these juveniles face from this recent arrest, they are all known to have a long list of prior charges as well, both from within and outside of Franklin County.

The Wilton Police Department is asking anyone who might have any information regarding this situation to come forward and report it. You can reach the Police Department by calling (207) 645-3876.
