Our SPCA Pet of the Week Wilson had lived on his own outside for a long time, but is now getting used to living indoors and finally receiving some lovin'!

Wilson is a large cat with a large personality. Weighing in at just under 15 lbs of muscle, Wilson could pass for a Maine coon… except for his short fur. Who knows, maybe he’s a mix? He came from outside, where he took care of himself for the first four years of his life. Recently he decided that he’d rather be a house cat and turned himself in.

Wilson is still getting used to the whole “being cared for” thing. He likes petting and affection - exactly the correct amount of petting and affection, and not a bit more. He also really likes being given his food instead of having to hunt it down himself.

We suspect that over time, Wilson will come to know and love his adopter and become even more trusting. He’s about 4 years old and would love to move on from the SPCA into a home of his own where he can be safe and cared for all the rest of his days.

Call the shelter at (207) 667-8088 to schedule a meeting with Wilson , or, just drop by!
