Cannabis Friendly Campground in Maine Takes Going Green to A Whole New Level

Boy, the times they are a-changin' here in Maine.

It's been a few years now since we legalized cannabis for recreational use here in Maine. And it quickly became a pretty lucrative industry. At this point, it's Maine's most valuable cash crop. So there are always people looking for new and unique ways to cash in on cannabis.

Of course, you can't swing a pack of rolling papers in Maine without hitting a place where you can buy weed for recreational or medical consumption. In the immediate Bangor area, there are more places to buy weed than groceries. So obviously, Mainers have an obsession with weed that makes it almost commonplace in our culture.

Now there's a place in Maine where you can get away, and still bring your stash.

One of the popular misconceptions in the hotel industry is that because weed's legal here, you can just use it anywhere you want. People are often surprised when they're given stern warnings, or outright kicked out of hotels for smoking cannabis. But now in Harrison, Camp Laughing Grass is looking to fill that hole. Or bowl, as the case may be.

They're based in Harrison, Maine and offer a unique campground experience, centered around the idea that you can freely use your favorite plant at all times. No concierge is gonna come banging on your door. Other than to tell you there's a Happy Hour at 4:20... because when else would you have it?!

There's way more to do than sit and puff weed all day.

There are also hiking and biking trails. They're also next to a river, so you can rent all aquatic fun stuff. Boats, fishing gear, you name it. They make it easy. They even fill the rooms with snacks and smoking utensils. Obviously, someone in this crowd is going to forget something. Luckily, CLG seems to have thought of everything.

They open up for the season towards the end of May, but you can start making reservations right now. For obvious reasons, the whole facility is 21+, but it'll be an experience, to say the least. It'll likely be the "high" point of your summer activities. I had to slip at least one or two bad puns in. You really can't blame me for that...
