Chase is now looking all spiffy for his quest to find a new forever home!

Chase arrived at the SPCA of Hancock County with his handsome long fur all matted. He was a darling about letting them try to comb it out, but they realized very quickly that it was too tangled. He felt much better as soon as he got his haircut!

He was frightened when he first arrived at the shelter, but he quickly realized that everyone there wants him to be comfortable - maybe he noticed how often they give the other cats their favorite treats. Now he’s willing to come up to shelter visitors he’s never met before, and now folks are holding him in their arms for a cuddle!

This sweet cat will make a loving companion, and when his fur grows back in he will look like a beautiful tabby Maine Coon mix! He gets along well with the other cats in his community room. He does not like dogs, though, so he is looking for a felines-only household. Chase is about 5 years old.

Call the shelter at (207) 667-8088 to schedule a meeting, or just drop by!

There's also still time left to enter the SPCA of Hancock County Coloring Book Contest, another great way to have some fun and support the care of the animals at the shelter!

The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs available for adoption. It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton.
