Josh and Kathy Crise were working to turn their home of 20 years into a Winery, with an Airbnb and Goat Farm attached.
When we spoke with them in February, construction was underway to build a tasting room for their products. They were producing wine that was being sold in stores locally already, but really wanted a space where they could expand their operation, and invite people to try some of their beverages.
Well, the wait is finally over, and the tasting room is complete!
Marble Creek Acres will host the Grand Opening of their new Winery and Cidery Tasting Room this coming weekend.
According to their Facebook Event Page, the celebration will kick off at noon on Saturday, May 25th, and go till 8 PM.
"Ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30. Free hotdogs and chips throughout the day while supplies last. Cake cutting at 4. Hourly prize drawing. No purchase is necessary. Grand prize drawing at 7:30. Come kick off summer!!"
Josh and Kathy say they're excited to share what they've been working on with the public.
"We now have hard cider available by the flight, glass, and growler. Still expanding this offering. More to come."
"Our ciders have a weather theme. Maple Downpour, Pineapple Express, watermelon washout, tangerine typhoon, etc. Also added our first Fortified wine or dessert wine. These have nautical themes. 2 SHEETS a nauti adventure. Also adding a Merlot. MERLOT a sorcerer’s blend."
"We also added a small pavilion. Picnic tables under the pavilion. An area for sitting around the fire. Lots of fun stuff."
Marble Creek Acres is located at 279 Winn Road in Lee, right between Lincoln, Winn, and Springfield.
