You're probably reading this, and complaining about your speed right now.

Boy, the pandemic has proven one thing. People have begun to rely pretty heavily on their internet. Sure, there are lots more people working from home, in general, these days, but people also got a lot more friendly with their video games, their streaming services, and just good, old internet surfing.

When it all started in 2020, I had someone out twice in the first three months, getting us squared away, as my wife and I were both working from home. But with more people online than ever, people have begun to expect a little more in this day and age than it seems we're getting from a mere 100mgps.

The Bangor area is about to see internet speed they've never had.

Spectrum told WABI that soon, we'll all have high-speed service of up to 200mbps. That's double the current maximum offering from Spectrum. Bangor customers should already be able to access the new speed, and other residential customers should be following suit soon, as the company hopes to get these new speeds everywhere.

I'm sure over time, there will always be the same need to get things adjusted, like always. Routers get outdated, things break, weather happens. There will still be plenty of things that happen day to day that will undoubtedly lead to frustrating situations, but that's just what real life is all about.

But, once the cyber cobwebs are cleaned out for people, it'll be nice to be able to have some crazy speed for all that we need it for. Not to mention, it feels like we're catching up with modern times. No more internet Dark Ages for us, right? We'll see.....
