Fun Christmas Tour Event With Old Town/Orono Y This Weekend

This Saturday, the Old Town/Orono YMCA is holding an event to bring a little spirit to the holiday season by taking you on tour to some infamous Christmas destinations.

With COVID restrictions and guidelines in place this event will have you taking a 'Polar Express' tour through the region to take you touring to Santa's Village to visit the big, jolly fellow, over to Whoville to bask in some holiday lights then back to the Y for a visit to Candy Lane to enjoy some holiday goodies.

Registration is limited and must be done in advance.  The tour is $5 per person or $20 for a family of four.  If you need more space for your family than it will be $2 extra per additional person.

The evening will begin at the Old Town/ Orono Y where 'Polar Express' riders will board a bus.  4:30 PM with departures taking place every half hour.  The last departure will be at 6:30 PM.

Here is what you can expect when it comes to the COVID protocols and guidelines

• Temperature checks prior to boarding the bus
• Mask wearing is required
• Social distancing is expected
• Hand washing will be done prior to boarding the bus
• Hand sanitizer will be available
• Families will be sitting together
• 6 foot distance will be applied between parties on the bus ride
• Bus will be sanitized prior to and following each bus ride
• Social distancing is expected throughout the stops and visits
