Old Town Plans A Second Year Of Wintertime Fun With Fire And Ice
It was so much fun last year, they've decided to do it again!
Downtown Old Town is planning a second year of Fire & Ice activities. The events will kick off this weekend on Friday, January 17th, and run through next Saturday, January 25th.
Folks can look for the Fire & Ice logo, and when they see it at a business downtown, and they buy something, they'll be put into a drawing to win some pretty cool prizes.
"...you will be entered to win Waterfront Concerts Suite Tickets, University of Maine Men's Hockey tickets, Gift Cards to local Businesses, and more! The more places you visit, the more chances you have to win!"
According to the City of Old Town's Facebook Page, the Fire & Ice festivities will culminate next Saturday the 25th, with all sorts of cool things happening.
"Enjoy food and drink specials all day/night in DTOT [Downtown Old Town], stroll along the fire pit trail from 5-10 PM, enter to win giveaways, make s'mores, enjoy a mug of hot chocolate, enjoy the fireworks over the river at 7:15 and please use our free overnight off-street parking (Sat. 1/25 only.)"
Rather than make complaints about the cold, celebrate it, and try and do something about it!
The day has been designed to give folks an opportunity to get outside and have some fun during what can be a long and dull time of the year.
