Hard to believe, but the annual Labor Day weekend tradition is just days away.

The Blue Hill Fair will run from Thursday, August 29th, until Monday, September 2nd, and this year will feature Motor Booty Affair, Hotel California, a popular Eagles tribute band, and the Demolition Derby State of Maine Championship!

The Blue Hill Fairgrounds on Route 172 will come alive once again this year with all sorts of animals, mid-way games, mechanical rides, food, music and of course arts and crafts!

The Fair opens Thursday at 4 p.m. and it's "Dollar Day!"  Admission is only a buck and so is each ticket for a mechanical ride. Senior Citizens Day is Friday, where admission for anyone 62 and over is only $3. The "Wristband Special Day" is Monday, Labor Day, where for $20 you can ride as many rides as you'd like.  General admission on Friday and Monday is $8, it's $10 both Saturday and Sunday.  Children under 12 admitted free.  Parking is free on the Fairgrounds.

Special events happening include "Hancock County's Got Talent" presented by The Grand, Thursday night at 7.  Shake your groove thing to everyone's favorite disco band Motor Booty Affair, playing Friday night at 7:30.  Hotel California, a band that plays the classic rock of the Eagles will play the Grandstand Stage Saturday night at 7:30.  Fireworks happen Sunday night at 9:30, and it all winds down Monday with the Demolition Derby Monday at 4 and then a Laser Light Show at 8:15.
