Tonight’s mystery artist formed his first band at the tender age of twelve called ‘the Marksmen’ but since he’d been playing guitar since he was five it seemed only natural. Think you know who he is or what his band is called today??

This particular artist had started guitar so young because his physician Dad also happened to be best friends with Les Paul. Les’ buddy was none other than Steve Miller’s dad.  In fact Steve’s dad was so close with Les Paul he was best man Les got married.  Steve loved Les and spent countless hours learning from him about guitars and the blues.  Steve’s love of the blues is something he carries still today.  His album Bingo! was nominated for “Best Blues Album of the Year,” by the Blues Music Awards.  And in 2011 Steve Miller Band released a second blues-rock album entitled Let Your Hair Down.
