Tonight’s mystery artist’s had a hit song that was written and performed by basically only one band member. Think you can guess the band or the song??

So why did one band member do the whole thing? Well the story goes; Topper Headon had been playing around with a new riff for quite some time on the piano. He liked it so he recorded that part. Then between being able to play all the other parts and being the only one around he started add the other parts including bass and guitar. So by the time Joe Strummer got there all he had to do was lay in his rant about the dangers of censorship and Middle Eastern religion and ‘rock the Casbah’ was for the most part done and ready to become the Clash’s biggest hit.
