Tonight’s mystery artist one and only #1 pop hit was performed by him only because the artist it was intended for lost his voice. Think you know who our lucky and not so lucky ducks were??

Well back when tonight’s artist was celebrating his 70^th birthday this little known fact came out in an article which told how Bob Seger’s one and only pop hit ‘Shakedown’  was originally written and supposed to be performed by his long time friend Glen Frey.  The song was written for the movie ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ with Eddie Murphy. This is why most of Bob’s diehard fans find the lyrics and song in general quite uncharacteristic to his regular style.
