Tonight’s mystery artists did damage to their own careers talking smack about their rival bands causing MTV to blackball the group.  Think you know who they are or any of their hits??

During the 80's Ultimate Classic Rock tells the tale of how Quiet Riot would put Metal on the map and open doors for other bands to follow suit. During the those years the band was featured all over MTV thanks to their hit cover of Slade’s 'Cum On Feel The Noise” which peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and its album ‘Mental Health’ would achieve six time platinum.

However, the lack luster performance of their next album would cause their lead singer Kevin DuBrow to start talking trash about other metal band. This not only served to sour their fan base but it also made MTV turn on them as well or as UCR puts it:

A lot of bands had to learn the hard way in the '80s, what MTV gave, MTV could quickly take away.

Here they are with tonight;'s featured song.

The original just for fun.
