Tonight’s mystery artist’s careers were said to have been ended by one of their songs.  Can you guess the band or the song??

This take on what killed this band was found at Ultimate Classic Rock who claims over play and listener fatigue of the Knack’s ‘My Sharona” during their heyday would take them from hot to not. That and a poorly timed band documentary which was done according to band members as tongue in cheek but wound up making them seem conceited.

Much later Doug Fieger would recall it this way:

 "How could it have changed so much that we were 'the glorious, the wonderful Knack' one minute, and we were this horrible, sell-out, commercial bulls--- hype the next minute? It made me angry."
