Bar Harbor Police say a death in the downtown area on Sunday does not appear to be suspicious.

Where Did This Happen?

Maine State Police are assisting Bar Harbor authorities in the investigation that began Sunday, just before noon. Investigators have been at an apartment building on Des Isle Avenue in downtown Bar Harbor. The area was cordoned off while police were on the scene.

What Do We Know About the Deceased?

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says, after an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death does not appear to be suspicious. So far, the name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of family.
