Keep Your Eyes Peeled For The Shriners In Old Town This Weekend!
Hundreds of Shriners from all over the country will be in Old Town this weekend.

JR Mitchell, Anah Shriners Chaplain and Member of the Board of Governors for Shriners Children’s Boston says they'll all be in town for a special reason.
"This is Anah Shriner's Summer Ceremonial for Illustrious Sir Adam Beals and Lady Jaime. New members become Nobles of Anah during the weekend festivities. All events will take place in Old Town as that's where Adam and Jaime live."
According to the Shriners International website:
"Shriners International is a fraternal organization of men who are dedicated to brotherhood, compassion, and service to others. Founded in New York City in 1872, Shriners International is composed of Master Masons. Today, there are more than 200,000 Shriners throughout the world. Shriners are known for their colorful parades, distinctive red hat (called a fez), and their official philanthropy, Shriners Children's."
Among the events the organization has planned to take place in Old Town this weekend will be a parade through town.
It will take place rain or shine, and run from Leonard Middle School on Oak St. to Milligan's Landing off of Gillman Falls Ave.
Mitchell says there will be some really neat features to this year's parade.
"The parade will feature all of Anah Shrines parade units, including several new units, and a favorite unit that will be parading again for the first time in years."
