Flower has been around the block but would love to make your home her last stop of the line.

Flower is our SPCA of Hancock County Pet of the Week and she has quite a story to tell. You see, Flower was returned to the shelter after a year and a half of being in what used to be her forever home.  When Flower first came to the SPCA back in 2019 she had a litter of kittens.  Following a short stint in a foster home with her babies she returned to the shelter and was adopted as a young mom.

For one reason or another, she's back.

Flower is a three year-old short-haired orange and black torti cat who is super sweet, amazingly bright and beautiful.  This very loving girl enjoys being pet and cuddled, and of course a warm lap to lay in.

Flower is active and likes to explore.  She also likes to play with small mice toys and toys on a wand.

This kitty loves dogs, but would like it best if all of the feline love and snuggles available would be focused on her, and you can't blame her for that. Her little fur boots on her feet give her a cute look. All Around, she is a love bug sweetie pie, who would want nothing more than to chill out watching Netflix with a nice blanket bed on your lap.

Make an appointment to come and meet Flower!

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
