Mainers have always loved their firearms.

There's no question. In fact, I think Maine is one of those states where the subject of guns can cross the political aisles quite fluidly. Maine has a long-standing tradition of hunting and shooting, but we also are known for doing all these things quite responsibly, generally speaking.

Hunting in Maine seems to cross all barriers here. That's not to say there aren't people in Maine who oppose guns, but you'll often find that firearm owners here are a pretty diverse group of people. And aside from hunting, there are plenty of gun and rifle clubs around the state. But the one thing all the people need, is ammo.

Unlike guns, ammo doesn't require a waiting period. But it's not always super convenient to grab. You can buy it in certain stores and sections of stores, but what if you could grab it with your groceries? There's a company developing just that type of technology, right now.

Maine has already had more than it's share of gun violence recently, and who knows if this could lead to more, or less, of that violence. There will always be the debate as to whether more guns will help the situation, or hurt it. But for the people who do it all the right way, this level of convenience could be a real game changer for the community of owners. It all remains to be seen, but this is all moving quite quickly.
