Four years ago today, I said goodbye to kitchen work.

By the time I got out, I was only down to part time anyhow, so it wasn't a big loss for anyone, haha. But now that I no longer have to support myself with kitchen work, I find it slightly daunting to try and come up with new things to eat all the time. Half the time I eat garbage because I don't want to put the effort into it.

After all, often the toughest part of making dinner is just figuring out what the heck to eat. But, thanks to the Good Shepherd Food Bank, things are about to get a bit easier, if you're into it. They've just launched a new website designed to give you all sorts of new, awesome ideas for healthy meals, according to WABI.

If you scope their new website, NutritionForMe.org, there are so many ideas to get started with. They even make it super easy. You can literally just enter an ingredient, or even a style of cooking, and it will start chucking recipes at you, fast and furious. And not just dinner, you can choose any meal of the day. It's incredibly handy.

They also have a section with some articles about living a healthy lifestyle as well. There aren't a ton yet, as the site just went live recently. But, it ends up that it can be a serious tool, maybe for young families, or someone trying to figure out a healthy way to eat. And all with an emphasis on not breaking the bank either.

In this day and age, every little bit helps. Once upon a time, I was a lot skinnier and healthier. Then covid hit, like a two-ton heavy thing and I found myself putting the pounds back on. Maybe, just maybe, these tools could help out? We'll see. But for Maine families needing a bit of guidance, this will be a game changer.
