Peter Tork, who had been battling a rare form of cancer, passed away today at the age of 77.

Back in the late 60s, Tork and his bandmates, Davey Jones, Micki Dolenz and Michael Nesmith, briefly out sold the Beatles!  With a hit TV show and fabulous hit songs like Daydream Believer, Last Train To Clarksville and I'm A Believer, the band rose to the top of fame!

Back in the mid 80s, the band's popularity gained steam once again when MTV began showing reruns of the popular TV show.  The Monkees, featuring Davey, Peter and Micki, went out on tour, and actually played the old Bangor Auditorium on November 22nd, 1986!
