Skate With The Bears Is This Sunday

This is always a great time for the kids when they get a chance to hit the ice with the Maine Black Bear hockey teams!

"Skate With The Bears" is the annual FREE event put on by The Friends of Maine Hockey and it happens this Sunday afternoon at the Alfond Arena at the University of Maine.

Fans of the teams can show up early and watch the men's team practice beginning at 1:15.  Then, both the men's and the women's ice hockey teams will hit the ice at 2:30.

Bring your skates,camera and pen for autographs, as the next hour or so all members of the teams will skate and talk with their fans! Team mascot "Bananas" will be on the ice too!

Skates are actually optional, you can walk on the ice. There will be free skate rentals at the Alfond while they last.

Friends of Maine Hockey board members will be selling merchandise in support of the UMaine men’s ice hockey team.  Free coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts to fill up on!
