Hey Rocky, watch me pull a world record out of my hat!

It's been confirmed!  The folks at Main Street Skowhegan pulled it off!

According to a press release, today, Wednesday, February 13th, the town of Skowhegan and Main Street Skowhegan announced confirmation from Guinness World Records that they have officially set the new world record for the most people moose calling simultaneously!

It was back on June 9th, 2018, at the 2018 Skowhegan Moose Festival when 1,054 people participated in the world record attempt led by Roger Lambert, a registered Maine guide, according to the release.

The video above was a recording of the event itself at the grandstand of the Skowhegan Fairgrounds and was posted to the Skowhegan Moose Festival Facebook page.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

A celebration will take place this Friday, February 15th, between 12 noon and 3 p.m. at Main Street Skowhegan's office at 48 Court Street, where folks will be able to take a photo of the office Guinness World Records certificate.

More than 6000 people attended last year's Festival!
