This “Doggie Goofball” Is The SPCA Of Hancock County Pet Of The Week
It's National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day! So, what better day is there to discover a new best friend?
Rookie is 45 lbs of doggie goofball who’s still a puppy at heart. At just over a year old, he could keep you busy for quite a while!
Rookie loves to play, likes other dogs, and even knows how to fetch, sit, and lie down on cue! He is shy at first and it takes him some time to make new human friends. Rookie’s fearfulness is manageable, and he needs someone who is willing to take the time to build up a trusting relationship with him.
When you earn his trust, you’ll see his inner goof come out for sure! He is also loving and affectionate with people he knows and trusts. Rookie is house trained and is looking for a home without any young children. Call the shelter to learn more about this wonderful dog!, or just stop by and introduce yourself to your new best friend!
The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs vailable for adoption. It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. It’s open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between 11 AM – 5 PM. Fridays and Saturdays between 11 AM – 6 PM. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
