The snow has started to fall in Bangor, and with the already crusty inches of accumulation from the last storm we had, combined with the past few days of melting, the folks at Bangor Public Works are going to have their hands full trying to make space for people to park.

As such, City Officials have issued a City-Wide parking ban for Thursday from 11 PM to 6 AM Friday.

A City-Wide ban differs from a Downtown Parking ban in that it means it's not just folks in the downtown Bangor area who will have to find a place to park overnight, but all Bangor residents will have to find "off-street parking."

According to the City's website, the bans are declared so Bangor Public Works crews can get around town to clear the snow away from the streets and sidewalks, making room for folks to walk, drive, and park.

However, Bangor has designated spots in lots around the city where you CAN park during City-Wide bans between 5 PM and 7 AM.
