If you’ve been to BJ’s, or Target in Bangor lately you’ve probably noticed the activity.

What was once the garden center when the Home Depot was located where BJ’s is now, has been demolished. Remember when Home Depot was located there on Longview Drive, which was seven years ago now? Yes, time flies.

So, without affecting the BJ’s location, that attachment building is now history too.

Here’s the building that’s now a goner.

So the question is,

What is Going There?

First, I reached out to a BJ’s employee who was kind enough to let me know what has been going on.  Anonymously, when I asked what’s next, the worker said

I like food. I’d like to see a restaurant go there.

And then, got to what they’ve been told. When I asked what was going to replace that building, my new favorite, food-loving BJ’s employee said

More parking. And some grass

Or was it lawn they said? When I hear about demolition in Bangor and the word grass is spoken, I immediately think ‘another medical marijuana’ dispensary.

But not to be.

For the record, not to say that the owners of the property, who are in Massachusetts won’t someday build something on that land, but not for now.

The city of Bangor confirms the only permits issued were for demolition.

Soon more parking, and a lawn.  Until then, nothing to see here... at least for now.
