Bangor Man Struck, Killed Saturday Night On Kenduskeag Avenue
Authorities are investigating an incident that took place on Saturday night on Kenduskeag Avenue between Griffin Rd and Glenwood Avenue in Bangor.

According to Bangor Police Department's Public Information Officer, Jason McAmbley, the police were dispatched to the residential area of town where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle and died.
Jeffrey Green, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Police say an SUV traveling south on Kenduskeag Avenue, near Glenwood Avenue, struck Green shortly before 7 p.m. The driver told police that Green had suddenly appeared in front of him. The driver believed Green was chasing after a dog when he was hit, according to police.
The driver of the SUV has been cooperating fully with police.
Neighbors reported seeing a dog running loose nearby, who appeared to be uninjured. They also describe that area of the street as problematic, reporting that there have been a handful of accidents and destroyed mailboxes along that section of the drive.
That area of Kenduskeag Avenue was closed for quite some time as authorities investigated.
Members of the Bangor Police Department have been at the scene of the accident all weekend, working with evidence response technicians and reconstructing the accident.
Detectives are still working on the case.
